Heard Tell for Friday, March 3nd, 2022 is turning down the noise and getting to the information we need on clearly seeing what Vladimir Putin’s intentions in Ukraine are, how we need to adjust our coverage and terminology to what is happening, and what Putin’s own words and action are plainly telling the world he is planning to do in Ukraine. Also, the term “keyboard warriors” is often used to describe folks that don’t accomplish anything but caterwauling on the internet, but we discuss how folks on the internet are using comment sections for restaurants, Google Maps, and other site to take the information war to Russia. Guest Andrew Egger of The Dispatch is back on Heard Tell, and he reviews his experiences at CPAC, the annual gathering of Republicans, conservatives, and more and more of late the grift class. Andrew talks about how events in Ukraine occurred during the gathering and the reaction to them, whether the national narratives and coverage matched what was being discussed at the even, and the mood in the room.
