Your Heard Tell Show for Monday, July 31st, 2023 is turning down the noise of the news cycle and getting to the information we need to discern our times by having some grown folk talk about “small towns” as they actually exist, not just as country songs, stereotypes, or the latest trench in the ongoing culture wars. Host Andrew talks from personal experience from working in the trucking industry what is happening to the 30K plus employees of Yellow Freight as their company ceases operations. Our guest is Stephen Kent of the Consumers Choice Center who joins to talk about the Federal Trade Commissions 0–4 record during the Biden Administration in pressing anti-trust cases, why the agency’s current leadership is ideological driven rather than best practices based, and explaining the nomenclature of govenrments ongoing war with big tech, gaming, and other indiustries. Plus, Stephen talks about his exellent Substack “The Is The Way” that uses posetive examples from media, movies, books, and tv to inspire and uplift folks. We finish like we always do on a good note, this time a math teacher who gave one of his students far more than just a grade.

All that and more on this episode of Heard Tell.
